Richard and I made a drive up to Huntsville on Friday evening to visit Chip and attend his church on Sunday morning. It was such a good visit with our son. We enjoyed his hospitality, his fellowship, and worshiping with him at his church. During our 2nd visit there, we got to see the renovations done in the student center under Chip's leadership. It is amazing at the changes that were made. We thank God for the work he has given Chip there ~~ to disciple Christian teens and to point unsaved teens to the Lord.
We also were able to meet some more folks at church on Sunday and are making some new acquaintances with each visit. Everyone is so nice! The congregation is excited that their new senior pastor, Zach Terry, is arriving this week. He will begin his ministry at the church on Sunday. We are excited for Chip to have this wonderful young pastor to serve with. They will make a dynamic team as the church reaches out to their community and spread the name of JESUS CHRIST in their Jerusalem. God is faithful and so very generous to allow us to have a part in His work here on this earth.
Here are some pics made when we visited Chip's student center on Saturday:

Track and Field Spectator Pics
Jaden was real good and REAL ACTIVE during those 3 hours on the bleachers. He hardly sat down the entire time but played and played and played. Josh read his library book just about the entire time. He read and read and read. We three adults sat and sat and sat so I didn't make any pics of us. HA!! Belle came over to see us before her race and Jaden was so glad to see her. He loves his Belle-Belle. It was a fun time for the family.
Jarrett and Isabella In Track Meet Action ~~ Video!!
Jarrett and Isabella in Track and Field Meet
1Corinthians 9:24 ¶ Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Hebrews 12:1 ¶ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,

It was a fun time watching Isabella and then Jarrett run their races in yesterday's track and field meet. Several schools participated in the meet and it was a LONG afternoon. Brian, Jaden, and I "raced" to get there for the 3:00 start. Amy and Josh came about 20 minutes after us. It ended up that it didn't matter one little bit that Amy was 20 minutes late for the start of the meet because the races that Jarrett and Isabella participated in didn't start until nearly 6:00 p.m. I did enjoy the "quality" time I spent with Brian, Amy, Josh, and Jaden for those 3 hours on that hard bleacher seat. The day was sunny but mild in temp with a pretty stiff breeze. By the end of the meet, I was downright chilly, but I know that beat being hot and steamy by a long shot! When it was FINALLY time for Jarrett and Belle to run their races, I forgot all about those 3 hours of sitting on that hard bench. Those few minutes of watching my GRANDkids run their races were sooooooooooo exciting. Brian made awesome pics of them in action. Amy made great video of their entire races with their camcorder. I made my "snippets" with my digital camera which I am uploading as I speak. I pray that Jarrett and Belle will run their Christian race in this life as well as they ran their 800 meter races yesterday.

JARRETT AND ISABELLA ARE RUNNING IN THE TRACK & FIELD MEET TODAY!!
Isabella and Jarrett are participating in Track and Field at school this semester. They have worked hard and both earned a spot in today's meet at another school. We are so proud of their accomplishment! Brian is able to take some personal time from work to attend the meet which is an hour away, so Jaden and I are riding with him to go watch Jarrett and Belle run. They are participating in the 800 meter (1/2 mile) sprint, and Jarrett is also running a longer 2-mile race. I can't wait to see the both of them in action this afternoon!!

Lofty Ambition!
I had my "Wonderful Wednesday" with my 3-year-old grandson Jaden today. He brought over his Bob-The-Builder video and while we waited on our morning to warm up so that we could play outside, he watched BTB. I was in the same room so that I could half-way watch it with him while I was working on something else. You have to know that I am NOT up on the Bob-the-Builder lingo. I knew about SCOOP but didn't know any of the other machinery names.
I saw one little piece of machinery and asked Jaden what it's "name" was. Jaden told me it was "Lofty" but he doesn't say his "L's" plainly, and I wasn't sure what he said. I said, "Hofty?" He said, "No, Lofty." I honestly still did not understand him (my right ear is not 100%) and I said, "Softy?" This is the honest truth: Jaden said to me quite emphatically, "NO Grandma. Lofty. B-L-M-D-T-E!!!" I finally understood!! What a hoot!!!!

A FUN DAY WITH FRIENDS!!!
Proverbs 17:17 ¶ A friend loveth at all times
I have wonderful friends here. When we moved down 6-1/2 years ago at age 50, I wondered how I would EVER have close friends again. Why on earth I doubted God in the matter showed my lack of faith in that area. At any rate, God has blessed me with some VERY DEAR FRIENDS for this season of my life. I thank Him for His faithfulness in this area because girl friends are so very needful in my life.
I spent all day (7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.) with two precious friends and with a new friend I just met on Sunday night. We got together to celebrate Carol's birthday. We spent our day out at NAS and got to watch those AWESOME Blue Angels practice their maneuvers.
As you can tell by our dress, it was quite chilly out there (42 degrees when we left from my house!) L-R: (I don't know that old lady in the blue jacket), Carole (my new friend), Peggy, and Carol in the gray hat is the birthday girl.
We watched the Blues (and ate our breakfast we brought along while we watched), visited the museum, watched an IMAX, ate lunch in the Cubi Bar, and then took the trolley tour. As our last trip into the museum, Carol showed us the quilt that her Quilt Guild made for the Blue Angels. It is very beautiful and Carol pointed out her contributions on the quilt. Here we are standing in front of the quilt:
When we were finished at the museum, we returned to my house where we started our day. We gave our gifts to Carol and had a very nice day celebrating HER. I thank God for Carol and for the impact she has had on my life!!
P.S. I posted my videos on Godtube so that I could email the links to Carol, Carole, and Peggy. I will post them here for posterity. :) As of this posting, all of the videos have not yet been approved but should all be up and running in just a short while. NOTE: Video #3 of the Blues shows them flying in that crazy upside down position. #4 shows them doing the roll-over. They out-did themselves today!
