Tom and Nonie arrived a couple of hours ahead of Paul and Karen so we took them out to the cemetery where our older sister, Sharon Marie, who was born and died the same day in November 1946, is buried. Nonie had never seen her grave so it was a sweet time with her out there. Actually, the Blue Angels were practicing and we had a good show right then and there. Their antics certainly whetted Nonie's appetite for the big show on Friday ~~ weather permitting. Rain is forecasted so we are praying and asking God for NO RAIN.
When we got back to the house, Paul and Karen had arrived and were waiting on our front porch. OOPS. We had a sweet time greeting them. We had a couple of hours to visit leading up to dinner time. Brian, Amy, and the kids were invited to dinner and they arrived just after 5:30. Supper was served at 6:00. Tom and Nonie play dulcimers so we had invited them to bring along the dulcimers. After dinner we all adjourned to the sun room and had a wonderful sing-along until Brian, Amy, and the kids went home at nearly 8:30. We sisters and our husbands sat out there and sang a lot more songs and then sat and talked until 10:30. We then broke up to go to bed as we have an early morning call.
Here are a few pics from our fun afternoon/evening..........
Looking for our sister's grave with the Blue Angels flying overhead:
At the dinner table. Brian took the picture and the grandkids are seated at their table right behind us:
There they are. All smiles and having fun. Belle was sick with a sore throat and bit of a fever but mustered up her pretty smile.
Enjoying Tom's and Nonie's dulcimer concert and we had fun singing along:
