Happy 13th Birthday, Dear Isabella

I feed the family every Monday night, so I made it our birthday dinner for Isabella. I asked her for the menu and we had stuffed bell peppers, corn on the cob, broccoli slaw, mashed potatoes, and garlic bread (that made for too many starches, but HEY, it was her 13th birthday dinner!). I had a bowl of fresh fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew, pineapple, and grapes) and discovered it still in the fridge after they had gone home last night! It's "fun" to have those senior moments.) We had birthday cake. Isabella wanted chocolate so we had chocolate. BUT, Richard can't eat chocolate at night, so we had a white cake as well. Belle enjoyed her gifts from us and her Uncle Chip.

And this morning she has awakened to her teenage years. Oh how I pray for that precious sweet girl that she will stay close to God, pure, and sweet. If she will stay grounded in The Word, retain her obedient spirit toward her parents and trust them when they have to say, "no," she will get through these next 7 years just fine. For sure, her Grandma will be praying her through them as long as I have my right mind!

Happy Birthday, Belle, and many, many more!

And now some pics from last night's fun celebration of Miss Isabella....
